It is often said that American advertising is the worst in the world. However, those of us who daily struggle under the creative yoke know that the best of it is, head and shoulders, the best in the world.
The One Show is America’s ICAD , the older brother of Britain’s D&AD. Its annual, year in, year out, is the collected work of the world’s finest practitioners, alongside those of the USA’s. This year, in the Automotive Category our latest work for Toyota was shortlisted alongside work from leading global agencies including Leo Burnett (France), Saatchi & Saatchi (London), and Weiden & Kennedy (everywhere) to name a few, and we rate those as quite impressive names.
In the shake-out, All Things to All People was awarded a merit. We’re chuffed, and so are our clients. This was work produced in and for Ireland. We have worked with our friends in Toyota for the last 20 years or so, and this is an example of how we keep the work fresh. To have it rated as one of the world’s 10 best pieces of work in the automotive category in 2014 is an honour, and we are immodestly proud of putting Irish advertising on the world stage.
