Working closely with our clients over at Bacardi, we have been working hard on developing the brand’s facebook community. With over 25,000 likes achieved over the last year, the question might be asked, what idea did we not try during that period? Based on a calendar of events and initiatives that we put in place at the beginning of the year, we have enjoyed great success in building relationships with Bacardi fans. So we discussed the strategy, made the plan, built the app, ironed out who would handle the day to day moderation of the page, and through trial and error learnt how Social Media could best serve Bacardi in Ireland. And now, well, we continue to enjoy the challenge of keeping it interesting for everyone involved, on a daily basis.
It should be said that having Facebook based in Dublin also has its advantages, as we have found ourselves in their offices from time to time discussing the “what’s next” aspect of the ultimate social network.
