Launched in 1955, the Texaco Children’s Art Competition has become an important annual event, harnessing the imaginations of thousands of children in Ireland every year.
Despite the onslaught of the digital age and the power of celebrity, the competition has steadfastly remained and receives up to 50,000 entries each year.
As our responsibility is to promote the event, our key challenge is simple: to continue to encourage Ireland’s modern, digitally astute, pop-cultured children to enter. We also feel a responsibility to ensure that the positivity and warmth surrounding the competition is continued for generations to come. We continue to deliver successfully against this annual challenge through a combination of Direct Marketing to schools, the use of Point of Sale and in recent years the use of national TV commercials that highlight the art itself.
